These skills are available to all players of ESO independent of class or equipment and without the purchase of a DLC:


It should be noted that values shown below reflect the ability and/or morph once it is fully trained which sometimes differs from earlier costs, durations, or damage values. All costs and damage values shown below are without attribute points placed, without equipment, without passive skills and without champion points so it's easier to compare skills without concern for gear/build differences.

Remember that if a skill costs Magicka, it scales with your maximum Magicka while if a skill costs Stamina, it scales with your maximum Stamina. Synergies and Ultimate abilities scale based on your Magicka or Stamina, whichever is greater.




Soul Magic Skill Line

Soul Magic levels are gained by progressing through the Main Story (at the Harborage)

1 Soul Trap
Range: 28 meters
Deal 655 Magic Damage over 10 seconds to the target and one other enemy within 5 meters. Fills an empty Soul Gem if an affected enemy dies within 8 seconds. 2700 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Soul Splitting Trap Affects an additional target. 2700 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Consuming Trap Also restores 7% of your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina if an affected enemy dies within 8 seconds. 2700 Magicka
2 Soul Shatter If a Soul Magic ability is slotted, your soul explodes to deal 437 Magic Damage to nearby enemies when your Health drops below 20%. (cooldown: 2 minutes) Passive
2 Soul Summons Can revive once every 2 hours without spending a Soul Gem. Passive
3 Soul Lock Killing an enemy with a Weapon ability has a 5% chance to automatically fill an empty Soul Gem. Passive
3 Soul Summons II Can revive once per hour without spending a Soul Gem. Passive
4 Soul Shatter II If a Soul Magic ability is slotted, your soul explodes to deal 874 Magic Damage to nearby enemies when your Health drops below 20%. (cooldown: 2 minutes) Passive
5 Soul Lock II Killing an enemy with a Weapon ability has a 10% chance to automatically fill an empty Soul Gem. Passive
6 Soul Strike
Range: 28 meters
Deals 4254 Magic Damage over 2.5 seconds and reduces Movement Speed by 70%. (channel time: 2.9 seconds) 100 Ultimate
Morph Option 1 Soul Assault Increases to 5832 Magic Damage over 3.5 seconds and also reveals any enemies affected who then may not Stealth or use Invisibility for 2 seconds. 100 Ultimate
Morph Option 2 Shatter Soul If a target is killed, it explodes for 1352 Magic Damage to nearby enemies. Also reveals any enemies affected who then may not Stealth or use Invisibility for 2 seconds. 100 Ultimate



Fighters Guild Skill Line

Fighters Guild levels are gained by destroying dark anchors as well as killing undead & daedra

1 Intimidating Presence Allows you to Intimidate NPCs in conversation and reduces the Stamina cost of Fighter's Guild abilities by 15%. Passive
2 Silver Bolts
(range: 28 meters)
Deals 658 Physical Damage and reduces Movement Speed by 40% for 6 seconds. 3510 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Silver Shards
(radius: 5 meters)
Also fires up to 5 additional bolts to other enemies near the target, each doing 47% less damage. 3510 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Silver Leash After firing, the ability changes into Tighten (range: 22 meters) which allows you to pull yourself to the target and deal 593 Phsyical Damage. 3510 Stamina
3 Slayer Increases Weapon Damage by 1% for each Fighters Guild ability slotted. Passive
? Slayer II Increases Weapon Damage by 2% for each Fighters Guild ability slotted. Passive
? Slayer III Increases Weapon Damage by 3% for each Fighters Guild ability slotted. Passive
4 Circle of Protection Grants you & your allies Minor Protection (reduce damage taken by 8%) and Minor Endurance (increases Stamina Recovery by 10%) for 20 seconds. 7987 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Turn Undead Increases the duration to 24 seconds. Also, nearby Daedra, Undead, & Werewolves are feared for 5 seconds. 7987 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Ring of Preservation Also reduces the cost of roll Dodge by 20%. 7718 Stamina
5 Banish the Wicked Gain 3 Ultimate by killing an Undead, Daedra, or Werewolf. Passive
? Banish the Wicked II Gain 6 Ultimate by killing an Undead, Daedra, or Werewolf. Passive
? Banish the Wicked III Gain 9 Ultimate by killing an Undead, Daedra, or Werewolf. Passive
6 Expert Hunter
(radius: 6 meters)
While slotted, gain Major Savagery (increases Weapon Critical rating by 2191). Activate to detect nearby stealthed & invisible enemies for 5 seconds (exposed enemies cannot return to stealth/invisbility for 3 seconds). 5400 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Evil Hunter Also reduces the cost of Fighters Guild abilities by 28% while active. 5400 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Camouflaged Hunter While slotted, also gain Minor Berserk (increasing damage done by 8%) for 6 seconds after dealing Critical Damage from Crouch. 5400 Stamina
7 Skilled Tracker Fighters Guild abilities deal an additional 20% damage to Undead, Daedra, and Werewolves. Passive
8 Trap Beast A trap at your location takes 1.5 seconds to arm then lasts for 60 seconds. When triggered, the trap deals 397 Physical Damage instantly and 1053 Physical Damage over 6 seconds as well as immobilizing the enemy for 6 seconds and grants you Minor Force (increases Critical Damage by 10%). 3780 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Rearming Trap When triggered the trap deals less damage (278 Physical Damage instantly and 744 Physical Damage over 6 seconds) but will rearm to trigger a second time. 3780 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Lightweight Beast Trap
(range: 28 meters)
Can be tossed to a target location up to 28 meters away instead of at your location. 3780 Stamina
9 Bounty Hunter Allows you to accept bounty quests in Cyrodiil. Passive
10 Dawnbreaker
(radius: 10 meters)
Deal 1027 Physical Damage instantly and 1191 Physical Damage over 5 seconds to enemies in front of you.
(this ability and its morphs cannot be dodged)
125 Ultimate
Morph Option 1 Flawless Dawnbreaker While slotted, also increases Weapon Damage by 5%. 125 Ultimate
Morph Option 2 Dawnbreaker of Smiting Increases the damage to 1226 Physical Damage instantly and 1371 Physical Damage over 5 seconds. Meridia's blade now also stuns them for 2.5 seconds. 125 Ultimate



Mages Guild Skill Line

Mages Guild levels are gained by reading the purple-glowing lorebooks found scattered across Tamriel

(radius: 6 meters)
While slotted, gain Major Prophecy (increases Spell Critical rating by 2191). When activated, reveals stealthed & invisible enemies around you for 5 seconds. Exposed enemies cannot return to stealth/invisibility for 3 seconds. 5400 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Inner Light Also increases Max Magicka by 5% while slotted. 5400 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Radiant Magelight
(radius: 12 meters)
Reduces the cost, enlarges the area of effect, and prevents the stun from stealth attacks for you and nearby allies. 3241 Magicka
3 Mage Adept Reduces the cost of Mages Guild abilities by 8% Passive
? Mage Adept II Reduces the cost of Mages Guild abilities by 15% Passive
4 Entropy
(range: 28 meters)
Deals 721 Magic Damage over 12 seconds and heals you for 224 Health instantly and for 224 Health over 6 seconds. 1620 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Degeneration While active, Light & Heavy Attacks have a 15% chance to heal you for 115% of the damage done. 1620 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Structured Entropy While slotted, also increases your Max Health by 8%. 1620 Magicka
5 Everlasting Magic Increases the duration of Mages Guild abilities by 10%. Passive
? Everlasting Magic II Increases the duration of Mages Guild abilities by 20%. Passive
6 Fire Rune
(range: 28 meters,
radius: 3 meters)
After 2 seconds to arm, blasts enemies in the target area for 658 Flame Damage when triggered within 30 seconds. 4050 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Volcanic Rune Also knocks enemies into the air and stuns them for 4 seconds. 4050 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Scalding Rune In addition, causes 420 Flame Damage over 10 seconds. 4050 Magicka
7 Magicka Controller Increases Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery by 1% for each Mages Guild ability slotted. Passive
? Magicka Controller II Increases Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery by 2% for each Mages Guild ability slotted. Passive
8 Equilibrium Exchange 6000 Health for 3000 Magicka. Also reduces healing done and the strength of any damage shields by 50% for 4 seconds. 6000 Health
Morph Option 1 Spell Symmetry After the exchange, the cost of your next Magicka ability is reduced by 28% for 5 seconds. 6000 Health
Morph Option 2 Balance After the exchange, gain Major Resolve (increasing Physical Resistance by 5280) and Major Ward (increasing Spell Resistance by 5280) for 23 seconds. 6000 Health
9 Might of the Guild Casting a Mages Guild ability has 50% chance to grant Empower (increases the damage of your next direct damage attack by 20%) for 5 seconds. Passive
? Might of the Guild II Casting a Mages Guild ability grants you Empower (increases the damage of your next direct damage attack by 20%) for 5 seconds. Passive
10 Meteor
(radius: 5 meters,
range: 28 meters)
A comet strikes enemies with 1436 Flame Damage, knocks them back, and stuns them for 2 seconds. Then those enemies suffer 457 Flame Damage every second for 10 seconds. 200 Ultimate
Morph Option 1 Ice Comet Deals 1581 Frost Damage immediately and 457 Frost Damage every second for 10 seconds instead of flame damage. In addition to the knockback & stun, the strike also reduces Movement Speed by 50% for 8 seconds. 200 Ultimate
Morph Option 2 Shooting Star Also gain 12 Ultimate for each enemy hit by the intial blast. 200 Ultimate



Undaunted Skill Line

(NOTE: upon reaching character level 45 you will receive an Invitation to the Undaunted)

Gain Undaunted levels by completing daily Undaunted Pledges

1 Blood Altar
(radius: 8 28 meters)
After a 2 second cast time, conjure a fountain of blood (lasting 33 seconds) that applies Minor Lifesteal (healing you and nearby allies for 600 Health every second you damage them) to enemies in the area.

Allies can activate the Blood Funnel Synergy to heal for 40% of their Max Health.
4320 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Sanguine Altar Increases the duration to 46 seconds. 4320 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Overflowing Altar Increases the synergy's healing to 65% of Max Health. 4320 Magicka
2 Trapping Webs
(radius: 4 meters,
range: 28 meters)
Ensnare enemies to reduce their Movement Speed by 50%, then after 5 seconds deals 822 Poison Damage.

Allies further than 18 meters away can activate the Spawn Broodlings Synergy to deal 801 Poison Damge and summoning 2 spiders which inherit your damage done bonuses for 15 seconds (they bite approx. every 1.5 second).
3511 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Shadow Silk The synergy summons more powerful black widow spiders which deal additional damage over time. 3511 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Tangling Webs The synergy also fears the enemy for 3.8 seconds. 3511 Stamina
3 Inner Fire Deals 409 Magic Damage and taunts enemies to attack you for 15 seconds.

15% chance that allies targeting this enemy from more than 18 meters away can activate Radiate Synergy, dealing 303 Magic Damage over 2 seconds then exploding for 982 Magic Damage to nearby enemies.
4051 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Inner Rage Increases the chance to create the Synergy to 38%. 4051 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Inner Beast Converts to a Stamina ability with 421 Physical Damage instead of 409 Magic Damage. The Synergy is unchanged. 3443 Stamina
4 Bone Shield A whirlwind of bones absorbs damage equivalent to 30% of your Max Health in 6 seconds.

Allies can activate Bone Wall Synergy, absorbing damage equal to 60% 100% of Max Health within 10 6 seconds for up to 4 allies.
3780 Stamina
Morph Option 1 Spiked Bone Shield Also returns 33% damage to melee attackers. 3780 Stamina
Morph Option 2 Bone Surge Spinal Surge Synergy also grants Minor Major Vitality (increases healing received by 8% 30%). 3780 Stamina
5 Necrotic Orb
(radius: 8 meters)
A globe slowly floats forward, dealing 113 Magic Damage every second for 10 seconds.

Allies can activate the Combustion Synergy which causes the globe to explode for 795 Magic Damage and restores 3960 Magicka or 3960 Stamina to their larger resource pool.
4590 Magicka
Morph Option 1 Mystic Orb Increases the globe's ongoing damage to 130 Magic Damage every second for 10 seconds. 4590 Magicka
Morph Option 2 Energy Orb Instead of harming enemies, the globe heals nearby allies for 119 Health every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds.

The Combustion Synergy's explosion now heals 795 Health to nearby allies instead of damaging enemies.

6 Undaunted Command Activating a Synergy restores 2% of your Max Health, Stamina, and Magicka. Passive
? Undaunted Command II Activating a Synergy restores 4% of your Max Health, Stamina, and Magicka. Passive
7 Undaunted Mettle Increases Max Health, Stamina, and Magicka by 1% for each weight of armor currently equipped (up to 3% if at least one piece of each armor weight is equipped). Passive
? Undaunted Mettle II Increases Max Health, Stamina, and Magicka by 2% for each weight of armor currently equipped (up to 3% if at least one piece of each armor weight is equipped). Passive
